DAVID NEWLAND - Main Stage MC
David Newland is a musician, writer, and scholar, currently working on a Phd in Canadian Studies at Trent University. David's 2019 album NORTHBOUND was based on his travels in the Northwest Passage with Adventure Canada.
His latest project, In Search of Lost Trees, has been featured by CBC Radio's "Fresh Air" and Roots Music Canada. In 2022, he was awarded a Cobourg Civic Award for Distinguished Arts and Culture. David is a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society.
